Vi får leva med covid-19 i tio år till – minst.

Det säger professorn och infektionsöverläkaren Björn Olsen till Svenska Dagbladet, SvD, idag.

– Det här kommer att hålla på i minst tio år till. Det kommer att sjunka ner till en låggradig smitta, men sjukdomen kommer att finnas kvar. Vaccin verkar funka kortvarigt. Hur länge är immuniteten kvar? Nej, den här smittan kommer att finnas kvar så länge jag jobbar som läkare, säger han till SvD.
